Make the Most of Your Garden Centre

Make the Most of Your Garden Centre

Garden centres are great places to visit, whether you're an avid or occasional gardener. The plants and nursery stock are a feast for the eye, and a great source of a full range of garden tools, growing aids and products to help improve your garden's health.

But are you sure you're getting the best your garden centre has to offer? One of the most valuable things you can find, especially at independent, locally owned garden centres is the expertise of the staff.

The "local knowledge" these people have gained over many years in business can save you a lot of time, trouble and money in your gardening efforts. They know which plants, which techniques and which products work well in the local environment, and which don't. And in most cases, they're more than ready to share their experiences ... to help you plan a better garden, grow a better lawn, or just stretch your gardening budget further. That's something that's just plain hard to find in the big chain stores.

Next time you visit your local garden centre, take along a gardening question or two. It could be the start of a whole new relationship.
