Give Bulbs A Boost With Vigoro Bonemeal

Bulbs are right at home in a variety of settings… on their own, or planted with perennials that will take over as they finish. Some, such as daffodils, crocus and scilla look great in naturalized or woodland setting. They can get all the light they need before trees leaf out in spring. Most bulbs require very little care to produce many years’ worth of blooms.

Dig a hole or trench to the recommended depth (a rule of thumb is to plant the bulb three times deeper than it’s size) sprinkle Vigoro Granulated Bone Meal  2-14-0 into the hole and place the bulb on top.

For established bulbs, sprinkle the bonemeal on the surface of the soil in the spring and fall. When bulbs are finished flowering, remove the head, but don’t cut the leaves down until they’ve turned yellow. This ensures that the bulb has time to build up energy reserves for the following year.

Vigoro Granulated Bone Meal is made of 100% steam-cleaned bones that are powderized, then made into dust-free, easy spreading granules. This makes the high phosphorus nutrient more readily available than chipped bone products.
